Caring for the Environment
At Extract Cleaning we care about the environment and do everything we can to minimise the impact of our operations.
When we started cleaning furnishings, over 25 years ago, the only effective method was hot water extraction (steam cleaning). It was an effective clean, but it came at a significant cost to the environment.
15 years ago we investigated new advances in cleaning products called "encapsulation detergents". These products have turned cleaning theory on its head! Water use has been cut by over 90% and wastewater all but eliminated. Off site our pads and microfibers are washed in filtered rainwater.
Steam cleaning is all about heat (heat = emissions). Encapsulation cleaning is a cleaning model that is more skill based. The quality of the encapsulation detergent used is a vital factor in the outcome. Over time we have consistently refined our techniques and trialled dozens of different products to find the best of the best.
